JET 99 Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 Just curious what kind of opinions?engine is stock T-5s, jetted, K&N single in box,aluminum impeller,front end is completed and rear end is almost done,saving cash for new rear shock, would like to make intellegent upgrades in future on motor, poss use FAST for rebuild. like playing on flat track, litlle MX, alota time on trail around indiana . not looking for a drag rocket, but would like reliability and maybe a bit more SSSSSSHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE when it hits the pipe!!!!!!!!!! laegers&elkas b-lines on front, lonestar in the stock swinger w/ new bearings&seals,itp c5s&xc holeshots. clutch,motor mods, any input would help me make the smart choices when the time comes to yank the motor. jim Quote

If you're mostly interested in FAST, I'd give Jeff a call and tell him what you're looking for. He would at least give you an idea of what he could do to help you get where you want to be. I'd look into a port, carbs, reeds, head, lightened flywheel, and a timing plate. Make sure your clutch doesn't need replaced, also. I had a little trouble with the stock clutch slipping. I put in 3 EBC VERY stiff springs mixed w/3 stock springs and I haven't had a problem since. The port is going to be the biggest difference to a stock motor and if done the way you want, it will make it much easier to ride. Quote
