Hi Everyone,

The thought of picking out a decent set of tires is overwhelming as there are so many damn choices. I just picked up a Banshee and want new tires for General Purpose use. It has realtors in the back which work great in the snow, but I want a lower profile tire for ripping around the track and trails. I primarily ride on hardpack dirt with the occasional sand pit thrown in for good measure. I want something that lasts a while. I have been thinking about several tires, GBC Shredders (Groundbusters now I think), Kenda Klaws, Gnarlies, and the new Kenda Radials.

I want to get fronts and backs also and mount them on 10" rear rims(yes I know gnarlies aren't offered in a 10"). My thinking is that I would have slightly less sidewall which would minimize the amount the tire would roll. I plan on sticking with the stock 20" rear size! So I guess out of my choices above which one has a stiffer sidewall to prevent tire roll, which hook the best, and which is the longest lasting?

Thanks.

Jeff

Loco what's your opinion comparing the Knarly's to the i-razrs? I know the knarly's are lighter but as far as grip and wear?

my bro didnt run his Irazrs long but i did notice quite a bit of wear in that amount of time. they are a softer tire than the kendas and would be great for only trail riding. but if ur riding on the street like we do alot and on rocks the kenda knarlys would be much better..the irazrs grip very well, its too badthey are so heavy. i dont think the weight can be justified because of the grip. the kenda has nearly as much grip witha lot less weight making it the much better tire in my opiinion.

the 10" wheel will have less sideway roll, but you will not bite in well coming out of corners. The extra sidewall with the 9" wheel rolls over and bite in better.
