I'm looking into a new carb set up and trying to figure out what's the difference between the Trinity C.V. 35mm 2 into 1, and this other one I found. I'll put the link at the bottom. First off, what does PWK stand for and how does that differ from Constant Velocity? Also, this one from Yamaha's manifold is alot longer and I'm told that this application is better for the banshee because it will produce more bottom end at a high rev. I'm looking to go with the Gorr woods port also, if this makes a difference with the carb application.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Both kits, the one you linked and the Trinity set up come with a 35 mm PWK carb. I'm not sure what PWK actually stands for but it's a great carb. That's what almost everybody runs with their 2 into 1. The one you linked looks like the Graydon Proline intake, but I'm not too sure that it is. That one should clean up the engine case a little better than the Trinity because it's a little longer. Different people have different opinions about the intakes. You won't see any huge differences between the two. I'm a little confused on what you've been told about more bottom end at high rev. To me, that makes no sense. I've heard people say the longer intake has a little more top end to it, if that's what you meant? Both intakes would work well with the Gorr port.

I think what the guy meant was the longer manifold worked well with bikes (2 strokes) that had to be kept in the power band as opposed to 4 strokes which don't need to be kept revved. Does that make any sense? Either way thanks for the feedback.

I think what he is getting at is that the intake provides more torque through the powerband. If you have more torque on the topend, your going to feel it.

I have been looking at this set-up on Ebay a few times. I like the looks of it better than the trinity. Reason being, the longer intake runners should act like a velocity stack.
