Hi i just found this site now that i am thinking about buying a banshee. I have ridden one and love it. I have found a 2002 banshee at a dealer. What are the important things to look for in banshees i really have no idea. The price is 4200 CND and it has fatty pipes and turbine core muffers. For what might go wrong would it be better if you havethe money to buy a 2006 one for 7200 CND

Thanks for p ypur help

If you are a gear head wrench turning fool who knows what you're looking at buy the used one. If you are a good rider and get someone else to do your maintenance buy the new one.

That's how I decided to buy a new one and I am very happy... :)

Bottom line is "stock" used Banshees are rare (someone said that on here recently). It is comparatively cheap to make them go fast. These days there is a lot of peer pressure to beat four-pokes and most of the new big bore four-pokes can beat a stock Banshee. Put those two together and:

If the person making the modifications knew what they were doing you are fine. If they didn't...

I would not trust the seller unless you know them personally. I try to keep a good relationship with my dealership, but have still been bent over a few times (my opinion).

well i rode it today but that was the first time i have ever riddena banshee and man it was sweet never ridden a quad like that only utility 250 cc 4 stroke so i took it slow lol

i have ridden rm 250 so i am used to some power.

Well enough about that

it sounds good and the gearbox seamed fine but like i said above first time..

now the ting is that a new one is 3000 dollars more so if i look at it that way i could put 3000 more mods and reairs on it for the price of a 2006

so what dou you guys think?

can you make it a lot better. bear n mind its from a dealer here in canada which want to keep the rep i'm sure.

i would buy the used one and put some$$ into it cause when u get comfortable with the new one you are gonna want do some mods so that is 7200 plus what ever you do to it, the used one is 3k less and that can do alt of upgrades pipes filter carbs suspension what ever but it is up to you you have to ride it but off course the dealer wants you to get a new one gl
