Nitmare67 Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 Just got back from the swap meat and picked up a set of sand skate II tires on 10" wheels in great shape supposed to be off a banshee. LOL i think not they dont fit my banshee. Very close but no dice. I only payed 50 for both wheels and tires and i dont want to dismount them or buy more rims and such that sorta ruins the whole deal. Sooooo. I think im going to make me a template from my banshee wheels and redrill the rims i just bought with the paddles on them. Anyone ever done this? I dont see why it wont work i mean even if they were a hair off when riding on the sand i dont see how it could really matter anyways. What do u guys think? Quote

Wallrat Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 I modified some banshee wheels to fit a honda bolt pattern before. If I remember right Honda has their bolts about 1/8" further out. I just used a rat tail file to elongate the holes 1/16" each. As long as you're careful to go exactly straight out its not a problem. Believe it or not, you won't have any play as long as they're straight. Or the other option is to just drill new holes. My tire guy has a set of rims he uses for demos of new tires. They were yamaha rims, which he elongated the holes on to fit Hondas, then he drilled new holes to fit Suzuki. He did it so he doesn't have to keep swapping rims or have multiple sets of a new tire for demos. Quote
