midnite Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 I just put on some trail tech 35 watt lights today {stock location} and as soon as it gets dark I'll adjust them. My plan is to buy a ricky stator 200 watt stator in a couple of months, and just upgrade my bulbs to 75 watts apiece, since the bulbs are like $8. The lights look pretty slick. You could get the 75 watters now since ypu have the stator to run them. Quote
[email protected] Posted October 21, 2005 Author Report Posted October 21, 2005 depots got them ? 75 watts each wow ! Quote
Wallrat Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Um no you're not gonna find trailtech lights at home depot. Is this a joke that I'm just not getting? Stock stator can run 2 35w bulbs for 70w total. 200w stator can run up to 200w, although I wouldn't try pushing it that close. You should be okay if you aim for around 175w. As a cheaper option, you can get some cheap offroad lights and modify them to fit the shee. I had dual 9" lights when I bought my bike. Unfortunately since they were cheap and heavy, they eventually developed some play until it was pointless to keep them on the bike anymore. But for $70 for 2 of em... Quote

04ShEeLE Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Yeah the Home Depot will have the lights you need. Make sure you get the "cool white" or "daylight" type. It is a more white light than the typical yellowish house lights. I would bring the old one with you when you go. You want to make sure they are a sealed bulb too. Good Luck! Quote
Bansh88 Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 Home Depot has the Halogen BULBS. They are cheap. 35 or 50w are only like $3 a piece. You can get spot or flood. Lowes also carries them or any hardware store. They are a common household bulb. Quote
[email protected] Posted October 27, 2005 Author Report Posted October 27, 2005 dop will do that when this hurricane traffic clears up Quote
