trail rider Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 ok, so i dont wanna spend the money for wheel spacers, i've heard of turning the stock wheels around and putting a "L" bend valve stem so it doesnt hit the caliper, am i right? the caliper is pretty close so i don't think it would work. has anyone ever tried to pull the valve stem, weld it, and drill a hole on the other side of the rim? i think it would work. any advice? chris642 Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 what i did was install these flush valves, got them on ebay. the only downfall is that you have to remove the tires to put air in them. its not really a big deal because i never need to put air in them anyway. Quote
batoutofshell Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 Turn the current stem around and drill the new hole on the opposite side re do the new valve stem your done! Quote

wooten Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 so what do you do about the hole onthe other side of the rim when you drill another hole Quote
macgillivary Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 the current stem hole, turn that stem around so that its inside your rim is what he meant you gotta drill a hole and put another stem in the opposite side of your rim Quote
