biggun6ss Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 When I try to put in a new main jet, the part it screws into moves up. So i have to take the carb off and hold that thing down just to screw in the main jet. The other side I have no problem. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 make sure you have it set at the right depth or that side will act like it's running out of gas because the jet is to high. Quote
biggun6ss Posted September 26, 2005 Author Report Posted September 26, 2005 Well, when I take out the main jet I remove the plastic piece then unscrew the jet. I try to screw in the new jet but the piece it threds into moves up towards the top of the carb. So I have to take the carb out and hold that piece down to start the new jet. On the other side it doesnt maove at all. Is there a way to tighten it down so that it doesnt move? Also, on the carb with the choke, ther is a little brass tube coming out of the bottom. To get the bowl back on it has to slide over that tube. What is that for and why doesnt the other side have one? These are stock carbs by the way Quote
87sheerips Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Cant find the hole huh?? Hope thats not a regular problem Quote
Ducman Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Put some hair around it? J/k The dump tubes should get snug in their hole when you put the main jet on and snug it down. Quote
