mud91 Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 ? I have everthing but port work done to my motor; pipes, timing+4, cool head, v-force3, k@n pods. Brother-in law has same but timing. I weigh 240, he's at 190. When we race were even till 4th and he's starts pulling away . The question is, with +4 timing is that hurting my top end? Or should i leave it alone and put a 15 tooth in the front? Quote

Yea I would put the 15 tooth front on, you have enuff power to pull it. Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 I had the same mods you do and went to a 15 tooth even before the porting. You'll easily have enough motor to pull it unless you need a rebuild. It might be a little tall w/22 inch rear, but it would still work fine. I couldn't tell any difference when I put the adjustable timing plate to +4. But I could notice a HUGE difference between 14 and 15 tooth sprockets. In my opinion, as long as your motor can pull it, get the tallest front sprocket you can. Quote
