Bogus croc

Anybody seen the bogus crocidile email floating around ? It states that a 21 ft. croc was killed in N.O. and put in a freezer at a restaraunt for later autopsy to examine the remains in his belly. 4500 lbs. of crock.

To me crocs and alligators are the same thing - last I checked neither is a vegetarian. One or both existed in the back bay behind Keesler Air Force base (Biloxi, Mississippi). Or at least they did in 1992 when I was there. That's not far from New Orleans. It's close enough for hurricanes anyway.

Stlbill, crocs and alligators are two entirely different animals. Crocs are way more aggressive than any gator. Not that I believe that bullshit email about it being in New Orleans, however it is a big ass crocodile. I kinda think that one was caught somewhere in Africa, just guessing. I see a bunch of Africans standing around with a thumb up their asses.

 

Oh, btw, check out the harness around that croc. You think that would actually handle 4500 lbs.?

Those nylon tow straps have a pretty tensile strength, but it looks like it would cut the animal under the stress. I assume that's what you are talking about?

Actually it's hard to tell what they are, I thought it was cable at first, then the more I looked at it it looked like freyed rope. My bud at work says he found more info about that particular reptile. He says it is 16 ft. long and weighs 1900 lbs. Some site called Snopes, I beleive. Whatever it is it is HUGE!!
