sycoracer911 Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 welp first race on the banshee.... it was against a all stock 2003 raptor.... now my banshee has paul turner high rev pipes, 15 tooth sprocket, 40 tooth rear sprocket, and a filter.... well i also have a bent axle.... and my clutch's are slipping.... anyway in the start of the race he pulls away from me... and stays in front of me.... im still learning how to work this thing properly since i just really got the thing...and im still passing him .... lol i thinkn this is pritty quick... lol he got all pissed off at me and now he is saving up money for pipes.... by then i hope to have a new axle, new clutch's, and reeds and a worked head at least.... then ill show him the banshee's true power... i wish my banshee's axle wasnt bent... then i prolly woudl have really showed him up.... lol oh well i still won Quote
trex banshee Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 all right good job i am glad to hear you got your banshee finally going. what was the problem? how do you like the pipes? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 You'll want to gear up higher for those pipes. I was running 15-41 gearing and needed to go up more with my PT mids, those pipes can pull a higher gearing and will help you keep up with him off the line. Quote

sycoracer911 Posted September 21, 2005 Author Report Posted September 21, 2005 hm i wonder why mine isnt pulling him like you guys say it should... would clutch's make that big of a diff that it woud be like that..... how about a bent axle.... cuz its jumping and shaking could that be it.... i know in 6th i pass him.... im still working out on my starts.... but im getting it... i love the pipes....sounds nice too.... fast as all hell too lol... BigCP Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 yeah man if your clutch is slippin your bike definitely won't hook as well. you will rev but, you won't go anywhere. jeff at f.a.s.t. racing in kansas will hook you up with a bad ass clutch for your bike, i have been so happy with mine since i got it and im sure you will too. That axle if its bent real bad could be a problem too, my buddy has one thats bent so bad that it will knock the teeth out of your head when you ride it on pavement. If you replace with a new one i would suggest a lonestar because of their warranty but, im sure someone on here has a deal waitin for ya! just my opinion Quote
sycoracer911 Posted September 21, 2005 Author Report Posted September 21, 2005 yeah im looking at either a durabliue or what i have really been looking at is the g force.... there durable my friend has one and im not doing mayjor jumping... i might just have to get some money and pick one up Quote

I know my banshee used to shake at high speeds and it was because of the tires...they're not balanced so rotating at high speeds will cause them to shake a little bit....just something to think about before shelling out the money for a new axle...also wheel bearings could cause it to shake as well. But, if the axle is bent, it's bent...LOL If you're clutch is bad it would definitely prevent you from running at your best, I'm with BigCP, call Jeff at FAST racing when you need a clutch; he's one of the nicest people I've dealt with and has a clutch kit that'll definitely make sure you're hooking!
