Lee Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 The BHQ server had spam detection software running for quite some time now. All was well until the last round of server updates. At that time, it updated the spam detection service software which, upon my research, has known issues with other server software currently running, mainly the mail server. I have removed the software today and may or may not install the previous version. I have inquiries in to a 3rd party server system to monitor and detect spam/virus emails, which I am awaiting a quote on for cost. The topic reply/PM notification, and validation emails now appear to be instantaneous rather than being hung up on the server for any length of time. You may experience a rash of emails today but that will normalize as the server will be sending them out as they come through from now on. Was one of those hard to pinpoint issues, but it's nabbed. Unfortunately, without a crew to monitor and fix on a daily basis, public, independent/non-commercial forums often end up being tested over the course of time by the users.
