trex banshee Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 (edited) hey travis if you are concerned about running enough octane i would just fill your tank with some alcohol . You would definitly be high enough then. also i have a question on my bike i like to go to the drags but it isn't an all out drag bike and my compression is right at 200 should i put my 12cc domes back in for the drags. now i don't mean to take away from your post by any means, i am just curious Edited September 19, 2005 by trex banshee Quote
sheefreak Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Dont the newer dirt bikes come with compression in the 200lbs?What do the dealers reccomend to run in them? 416044[/snapback] Compression alone does not determine octane requirement as dlnoss also stated. For instance, an 86 250r, stock compression is around 185 and manual calls for 92 octane(premium pump). Unfortunately I can not tell you exactly how to determine it. Quote
