my brothers does it when you go into third i don't know what the problem is we will split the case this winter. it feels like it goes in just for a second while drag racing then as soon as you pin it it throws it out of gear. I don't know what it is but it can't be good.

Your're finding netural betwwen the gears.I had/have the same problem.I had to replace the lower gears in the tranny.the dogs were worn down.the upper gears looked great.By changing this it help ALOT!!!.I still have a slight problem,BUT I think it's me while shifting.I do have a modded shift star.I had it ground down by booman. His work was mint but think my mistake was I gave him a worn shift star to begin with!I'm replacing my clutch now soooooooo either a stock star is going in or a NEW modded star is going in not sure yet..

hope this helps...

i was having the same problems and more ,I installed a shift pro kit,a new shift star,a new shift shaft with a new spring on it, and also changed the adjustment bolt for the shift shaft.that bitch shifts smooth now.on mine the spring on the shift shaft was worn and also the egg shape was worn out on the adjustment bolt, so I could not get a good centered adjustment on the shift star. i would not tear into the tranny until you rule out the little things
