BansheeBoy17 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 (edited) Just have a quick question. Last year my banshee was fast and I could jump most big jumps in 2nd gear. Now first thru 3rd is quick as hell and I have to jump most small jumps in high 3rd or mid 4th gear. I'm running the same exact setup as last year, the only thing I did over the winter was clean my engine including the cases and I got my frame pc'd and threw on new arms and axle and suspension. I yama-bonded the cases together along with replacing all the gaskets. Now first through 3th is quick as hell. Like I said I have to hit jumps in much higher gears , also my exhaust sounds really weird. It still pulls quick and runs at the right temperature so I dont know where to go from here. I could get a video if you guys need it to figure out what the possibilities are. EDIT : What I mean by quick is having to shift really quick and early. The gears are short. txblueshee Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 The suspension needs some tuning.... Sounds like your rebound is a little slow... Mike Quote
FadedDreams Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Did you change your sprockets at all.Maybe you put on a tooth smaller in the front and didn't realize it. Quote
BansheeBoy17 Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 Nope.... just a shorter swingarm , does that matter? Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I would bet that cause you put the -2 on you now are getting more slippage from the rear tires causing you to rap out faster and therefore you are going through the gears faster.I'm not sure that would be my guess though. Quote

Holyman Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Check compression and do a leakdown test to see if you have low compression or an air leak. When you say you cleaned your engine, did you do a complete tear down? And what was with all the sealer you were using? Quote
BansheeBoy17 Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 My compression was 130 and 135 Quote
