NickyPap Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Everytime I have bought a new set of aftermarket tire/wheels I have noticed that when I get out on a stretch of pavement and really open her up the front wheels wobble. I ride 90% trails so I'm bouncing all over the place and never notice it.Might be a dumb ? but does anyone else have this problem? I installed my a arms maybe I should re-check my camber/caster. I'm sure the big boys like NYUK have to have their wheels pretty true to get the most they can out of the bike to make it quick down the strip. Any advice would be appreciated -has anyone tried to balance their wheels w/ small weights on the inside away w/out interfearing w/ the brakes? Quote
wayfst Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 finde a shop, any tire shop, with a bubble balancer. should do the trick. Quote
NYUK Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 on a bubble balancer, every atv tire will read out of balance, tire slime will also throw tires way out of balance.it is pretty near impossible to balance an off highway tire with 5 lb. of air pressure. there is a blue weight powder tire shops add.that will supposedly find it s way to the off balance spot. wayfst Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 get the filters if you use that equal crap, otherwise when you check your tire pressure some will get stuck in the valve and won't come out. now your stuck at the dunes with a flat tire that needs a valve core. Quote
