scottt89 Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 I have an 05 w/ a Dyno Port 2-1 pipe, Filter Kit, Spacers and Carbon fiber reeds. I want to get a bigger set of carbs. I do some Harescrambles and trail riding. My main concern is getting some better performance w/o being a major gas hog. You guys think a set of 28mm's would do the trick? Quote
Otis Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 (edited) 6 pack rack and a gas can...... Edited July 1, 2005 by Otis Quote
sredish Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 go to a 33mm single carb, you'll add low end while still getting better top. if you go to some 28's, you'll risk a little bottom end and I don't think the top end will really add a lot. Not too mention, the 28's will use more gas than the stockers, and the single 33 will use less than the stockers. Heck, my 35 always used less. Quote
chapmanmd Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 try a 2 into 1 carb setup like a 35mm pwk. works great with the 2 into 1 pipe. Quote
Yaxy Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 I would say use the 28 Mikuni's, I run a 20 pilot and a 270 main and I fee they are very good on gas. Plus you can get the 28 plus the cable for about 225 New if you shop around. Chris Quote
hittintrees srh Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 I ya really want to save some dough, just get your stockers bored out a little. not sure how muck that is, but its got to be cheaper than new carbs. just a thoght Quote
sredish Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Don't forget your stock carbs are worth something as well. Quote
