Zeus8807 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 first off, let me introduce myself, im 17 been riding since i was little cant realy rember when,(around 8-9) was lucky but not so smart to have a banshee as the first quad i ever rode, yes i did almost kill myself and yes the guy was a idiot, lets just say after 5 min not only was i hooked on riding but i was also at the bottom of a 10 foot deep drainage ditch, from there i mostly rode the banshee, old honda 250r,and from time to time a freinds quad. my familly also rides my mother and her boyfreind both ride praire 650's as well as a street and trail bike(klr250) as of april im riding a 05 kfx400, thought i wanted a better trail bike, but now im realy missing the banshee, just nothing quite like it(thou can say i dont miss the maintince, thou it was worth it) my main riding buddys ride a z400, raptor 660, ozark250(has a bit of a hard time keeping up) and a kfx700, anyways, i know unfortunally that 06 is the final year to the amazing run of the banshee, but i've heard alot of rumors to what will be taking its place, pretty much what im wondering is should i cash in the kfx now, and pick up a 06 banshee, or would i be better off waiting to see what they are going to come out with, i've heard rumors that there will be a banshee 2 but it will be a stroke? i figured you guys might have some better answers for me. Zeus8807 Posted June 29, 2005 Author Report Posted June 29, 2005 gee just askin, wouldnt be the first time a old name has been reused by a company, and i figured they would be replacing it with something. Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Welcome to the BHQ. .... Great introduction! Unfortunately, you've fallen into a 'hot topic' that keeps rearing it's head. ... I haven't really been following it, but you can use the 'search' button. There's also info above that's been "pinned". First I've heard about a Mark 2 Banshee. ... Can't see it happening myself. I could really go an '06 right now. Long live the Banshee! Rare. Quote
sandman121383 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 . . . . . i'm keepin mine. who knows man , the aftermarket os so strong and theres so much mony in just the banshee industry that they'll never completely disappear Quote
2K1Banshee350 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 the yfz pretty much is the replacement Quote

decon Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 I dont think anything will ever replace the banshee to tell you the truth. cant beat that arm ripping grab on powerband. a 4 stroke could never do that, they are torquey and ride real smooth. the next dominating quad I would say is the yfz450. locogato11283 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 how can you really replace the banshee? with a 4 stroke? get real, not happening. it will never be replaced. fortunately for all fo us the aftermarket side is growing by the minute. you can pick up a 2000 - 2003 banshee for next to nothing. keep your kfx and when the time is right jump on a used banshee. mod the hell out of it and youll have the best of both worlds. no sense in buying a brand new one when all youll do is get rid of the stock junk anyway and replace with aftermarket. I think. Depending what you're rebuilding ... from zero to thousands. Rare. Quote
