BrianEb Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 Has anyone had to change the main jet size after installing the V-Force3 reeds I'm at 280 right now and it runs like S_ _ _ . All I have is the T-6 pipes Quote
sredish Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 It's possible. Can you elaborate on the "runs like $hit" comment? Is it flat bogging, sputtering like crazy or what? What's your elevation, airbox setup? Scott Quote
BrianEb Posted June 6, 2005 Author Report Posted June 6, 2005 It idols fine, but the power band in 2nd 3rd 4th ect. gears just does not want to come on quick. It seems like it just want to gurggle. Spark plugs look dark. I going to put new one in today after work and see what happens Quote

Also, you could have put this question in the post you already made about this issue rather than start a whole new thread Quote
BrianEb Posted June 6, 2005 Author Report Posted June 6, 2005 sorry just trying to get some answers Yes I did change my plugs but have not tested it yet Wanted to get some feedback before I went home I'm still at work Quote
fixitrod Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 If you have stock carbs make sure you put them together right after taking them off. Slides in correct, carb tube on, no air leaks on the reed cage surface. You know, the basic stuff. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Did you ever say if you've had your parking brake removed or not? If it's still on there, check to make sure it's not engaged. Quote
. Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 your tors might have went bad as well. Usually happens after a upgrade where you play around with the carbs or something Quote
BrianEb Posted June 8, 2005 Author Report Posted June 8, 2005 How do your TORS go bad after putting in new reeds? Stumped me on that one Quote
bigboybanshee Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 How do your TORS go bad after putting in new reeds?Stumped me on that one 379335[/snapback] By moving them around; them bumping something the wrong way....the TORS are junk!! They can easily be broken and can cause the biggest headache!!! I think the TORS removal kit is like 50 bucks....cleans up the look of the carbs and makes it easier to access them too. Also, when the TORS is removed, it's one less thing to worry about breaking on your banshee Quote
. Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 see if its still connected (little black box in front of the gas tank on the stator side of the bike) Quote
