RNBRAD Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 62 what? kbps? Is it dsl or some high speed dial-up connection? Quote
dlnoss Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 On a good day I have a signal strength of 75 to 79. The just switched our transponder which increased the signal strength. It was running 45 to 50. It didn't speed the system up any. We have it networked and it seems pretty slow. Have you tried any of the tweaks on www.dslreports.com or www.copperhead.cc? Running Ad-Aware frequently seems to help. If I could get DSL here, I would. Quote
ScrewMachine Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 My signal strength is normally 62-68, unless we get a heavy storm then it drops off a cliff. I think it's definately faster then dial-up, but it sure as fook ain't fast enough to warrant the $80 they stick me for every month. I feel your pain. If something else was available out here in the sticks, I'd be all over it. Till then..... Quote
