this is a money question. how much do you what to change and spend? i had more fun with my banshee when it was just piped, ported with nitrous. just jet it once and ride, want more power just push the button. now i have to watch everything all the time, timing becomes critical, octane in the fuel must be right, grab the nos at the wrong time and you either stretch the chain or wipe out. no buying used parts to much money in the motor to take the chance. i check the plugs all the time, all day long, temp will change my jetting 1-2 steps here in idaho from morning till 2 pm. all this and i still lose maybe 5% of the time, but now i don't think of the 95% that i won, i think all that power and i still got beat!? so think about it as much as you need, nos is cheap, dependable power. start there and know memories are made on the sand not in the pits.

It will surprise you how much a good port job wiil increase the power of a banshee.Mine was actually easier to ride due to increased torque as well as horsepower. Also get rid of the airbox and just use the K&N's that clamp onto the carbs.Having the crank welded is a little added insurance also.Don't forget how important the right jetting is.If you plan on doing alot of riding and not just racing, you should probably stay away from alcohol carbs.Just my opinion.

a vito's 4mil stroker crank with plate requires no case machining and drops in right w/ a port job should scream right?-----later can i add a mono block 404 vito's cylinder kit with no extra mods, and what carbs should i buy with the crank and port job knowing i'll be addin the cylinders later? thanks

You might want to look into the cub cylinders from cp industries. There are about 900 bare and about 275 for porting but you can use all the same parts you have now and gain a lot more hp than any other mod out there. You can check out bansheeracing.com for some dyno results with different set-ups too.

but i dont have a cool head or aftermarket pistons, and the vitos kit would be a little easier because all these parts are included,-----still go with a cheetah a just buy the coolhead,i have a pro design intake where can i buy the larger boot for new carbs
