justinklumb29 Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Iam going to be putting my casses back together in about a week. Is there anything special I should know so I dont have to tear it down again. I took all the studs out, do i just screw them back in? how far?. Any tips and suggestions are appreciated THanks Justin Quote
Wallrat Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 (edited) While you got it apart you should drill a 3/8" hole in the case at the bottom of the area that seperates the clutch from the tranny to help promote better oil flow. Other than that...screw the studs in till they stop, use some yamabond (#4 if i remember right) on the mating surfaces, and make sure you got all the pieces where they're supposed to be. FIRST BANSHEE Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 (edited) also make sure everything is clean, don't want any piston or bearing messing up the new engine. Edited May 5, 2005 by FIRST BANSHEE Quote
