Banshee is acting up

I went to little sahara for spring break and I was pumped until we got there and my banshee wouldnt start for shit... eventually i found out the ignition was fucked up so i bought a new one and then replaced the spark plugs cus they were fowled out so then it started right up and i let it warm up for like 5 or 10 minutes then turned it off so i could eat...came back and it wouldnt start until like the 4th kick...now keep in mind I had left it in storage cus me and my dad got in a fight and i had to move to texas and had nowhere to keep it....so it sat since september unstarted... the second day we were there it wouldnt start at all...Im thinkin it was maybe the gas was really old but I put all new gas in it after it emptied out and some guy told me it could be that my floats were stuck or that the gas couldnt dried out in the carb and turned into a jelly like substance...the 3rd day I went out and put B7es sparks in it instead of B8es and it started but then died...so we pull started it and it ran great and after riding it for like 1 and a half it would start 3rd kick....unless I let it cool down what the fuck is wrong cus before I put new jets and cpi in frames in it, it never had to be kicked more than twice...and I know the jets are right and I had just completely cleaned out my carbs before it sat in storage for a couple months...someone please give me input cus a guy told me I might need new reeds or a new top end....Im lost.

how hard is it to kick start. does if feel like anything is there, a buddy of mine had the same thing, he had a hole in on of the piston, might want to do a compression check and find out
