I'm thinking of getting a Blaster for my girlfriend... Are they any good???

She hasn't rode much so I figured she could always upgrade it later.

Stock blasters are not that hot...if you get one for her and want a good pipe for it, get a toomey b1. I put one of those on my friends blaster and it will keep up with a stock 400ex.

an excellentychoice for a nonexperianced female rider.plus its a 2 stroke so you can fix the damn thing without breaking the bank :) my old lady was shifting and rippin around the yard in no time on her 04 blaster ,she loves it and now we ride toghether and have great bonding time with our 2 stroke quads, she has a shearer pipe and viitos c.f. reeds smokes warriors easy!theres always more power to be made if she gets bored of it and the size and ergos is perfect for a petite woman

Yes, they are great. But if she is inexperienced, she might get frustrated by the kickstart and the manual shift. For technical riding, the combination can cause immense frustration. If you don't have the patience to stop, and go back and help her when she stalls it and can't get it started again... And, she gets pissed or discouraged really easily. :bolt:

She might be happier with a Raptor 350 or something like that with electric start and reverse.

I got my wife a Blaster last summer, she loves it.(part of the deal with me buying the Banshee) She was shifting and taking off the first day. I was surprised how easily she picked it up considering she can't even drive stick ( thats another story). I would say get her one.

My wife had a blaster and did pretty good on it, but she likes having a 4 stroke with electric start a lot better. Also If you get a used blaster do the oil injection block off mod. The oil injection system is unreliable and caused my wifes to sieze the rod. Then can also use gas mixed for your shee in the blasty..

Great quad for the first time, smaller framed rider. I second the oil block off kit. Trying to buy one now for the girlfriends birthday, and dude is dickin me around and takeing his sweet time. If anyone has or knows of anyone w/ a decent blaster for sale in lower Michigan, or northern Indiana or Ohio, let me know.
