i know this topic has probably been beaten to death but here is my questoin anyways

where are the strong points of these to pipes

just by feel i think that the fmf is made to deliver a really good midrange power, and someone told me the t5's are really good at the top of the powerband

what are some opinions. i've been thinking about switching to t5's i have fmf's right now

My opinion is that it's definitely not worth the switch if your looking for better performance. They are too close to warrant the cash for the little difference in performance. If your looking for a rejuvinated look and new pipes are on the list then yea T5's are a good place to look. The T5's definitely have a better quality finish than the FMF's though. As for power, both pretty similiar in power delivery, the T5's just produce the power about 500 rpms higher and last about 500 longer than the fatties. Just need to figure out what style of riding you do. The more on and off throttle riding you do the quicker you want your power to come on such as the fatties will provide. The more open throttle riding you do the more you will benefit from the T5's.
