sand85 Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 I just recently purchased a 01 banshee from one of my buddies cousins. the bike is still all stock it just needed a new clutch but it sat for at least a few months without being started. i got the bike running and put in a barnett clutch in and the bike runs great but it wont idle unless the choke is all the way out and when it is in and you give it gas you get a puh out of the exhaust and it will some times even backfire is the puh normal or is there some thing wrong. please any help is appreciated. thanks Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 sounds like your carbs need to be cleaned...take your carbs apart and remove thejets and clean with carb cleaner, and blow out all the passages with compressed air welcome Quote

sand85 Posted January 26, 2005 Author Report Posted January 26, 2005 yes my parking brake is still installed but the tors are disconnected.i ordered a tors kit from vito's performance and as soon as it comes in i will disassemble the carbs and thoroughly clean them out. is there just a wire you can disconnect for the parking brake or do you have to disconnect the whole thing?
