well my shee's all torn down, but now my bud's is havin problems, its skippin/backfiring, I think its the stator, just wanted to see what other input, cdi's normally go right out, unless it was the coil?

I think you're right. SInce the timing is fixed on a stock banshee, if you're backfiring, the timing is off. Pull the flywheel and look at the key and keyway as well as the timing plate and wires. A little movement makes a big differece.

The timing is not fixed on a stock banshee. The CDI advances and retards the spark depending on rpm.

he has fmf's and a boost bottle, so pretty much just pipes, im gonna throw on my K&N, and my adjustable timing plate with my old stator, set it at +4 and give her hell
