saud alzaabi Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 hey guys i love jumping so much but seems that my banshee is too heavy for freestyling so i wanted to know what mods can make my banshee weights as a feather and jumps better like or better than the stock z400 2005 ? Quote
iceman Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Isn;t the banshee like one of the lightest bikes? And pipe it, and just go faster off jumps... Quote
SICK BOY Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 talk to banshee_freestyler 306958[/snapback] Yup,talk to him,he's always "hucking" something. Quote
01bansheeke Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 while it sounds fitting...i don't think we've seen much more than a no handed landing...if that out of the ol banshee freestyler. If putting your hands behind your back before you land is considered freestyling..he's your man! Quote

iceman Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Anything can be done on anything, if its fast enough, and the banshee is fast enough, you just have to have the balls to do it. Quote

iceman Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 (edited) That has to do with your skills then, a two stroke isnt going to jump like a 4 stroke. You just need to practice on a 2 stroke and you can do it just as good as on a z400, but if you want to lighten stuff, then I guess you could remove tors, parking brake, I wouldn't remove gussets because you're jumping, but you can get lighter bumpers as well, thats all I can think of for now. and suspension helps a lot...from what I've heard, some +2+1 a-arms, and some elkas wouldnt be a bad idea, also a swingarm. How much throttle you give it and where you give it off the ramp is the key to "hucking" the correct jump. Practice an you'll get it. Quote

NYCBanshee7 Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Isn't a banshee lighter than a Z400? Quote
Timmy301 Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Iceman's got it right! Its all about skills. You should be in a position on that quad where you can be ready for anything. It only takes a second for things to go wrong(like your front end coming up on ya)I would tell you to keep your head just in front of the handlebars, arms bent elbows up. that way your ahead of the problem and not part of it! buddha440ex Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 listen to these boys they know what they are talking about..but if you are planning on jumping kicker ramps or anything on your shee i'd deffinately get a swinger, get ur rear shock rebuilt by elka, get some elka front shocks, and possibly an aftermarket axle and a-arms...im building a kicker for mine right now..all i have is +2 a-arms and an axle...i dont have shocks..
