91s10 Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 what im a new b and i got a problem wit my 97. basically it dont kick start up unless i put a little gas inbetween the spark plug and the cylnder? but im pretty sure there is fueel get threw the lines and all cause i remeber the plugs were wet. yea and after it stars to run (after 3-4 times of dippin gas in the cylinde,kickn it, then stall basically till it warms up) it will usually kick start up the day after when its compltely coold down but if it sits for about a week or two ill have to do that annoying method. this is a pain in the ass considering that things a gashog and only ride itso often but any tips woold be good thanks Quote
pimpeinkc Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 sounds like your bowls on your carbs might be leaking down, i would take your carbs apart, check the float to make sure your bowls are filling up proper, and you can turn the screws to see if fuel comes out. and you should check and make sure your jets are not cloged. the only other thing i can think of is to check and make sure you don't have any air leaks around the reeds and carbs. good luck man. Also, make sure your carbs are adjusted correctly (syncronized and airscrews both set the same) Low compression will make it VERY hard to start, so you might want to do a compression test. Quote
