I am pretty new around here...Only had my Banshee for a few weeks...

Anyways I have been shopping around for parts and it seems to me that some of these parts are way overpriced for what they are. I have done some sourcing for auto performance machined parts in the past and am tempted to do the same thing with some Banshee parts...

To name one...The 2 into one Trinity piece...This thing seems to be way overpriced and at the same time looks pretty simple to emulate.

Thoughts???

Ideas???

STFU??? hahaha

Do a search and you can see the one I fabricated.  Search for "Two Into One" and see if you can find the pics of mine.

I saw your piece when you posted it...Same idea I suppose...I am not trying to re-invent the wheel or anything...I would be more inclined to go with a Billet piece that would emulate the Trinity piece...I am wanting some input on what might improve the current design that is available.

Although I do see several of these pieces on Ebay right now and they seem to be going for a reasonable price used...I am not much of an ebayer myself though...Know too many that have been burnt by that place. Tough to trust anyone over there IMO...

Sorry, didn't know you were looking for ideas. I didn't like the Trinity intake because how short it was. I like my carbs to be back away from the engine heat a little bit, but that's just personal preference. Also people talk about the distance the air/fuel has to travel before entering the cylinders... If you think about the velocity that the mixture is traveling through the tubes it doesn't really make that much of a difference with an extra few mm or a cm or two. I didn't like the blocky look of the trinity, and how short it was. Maybe you could change something along those lines...?

No need for appologies man...Like I said I saw your piece and be it as it is...I am looking to do something a bit differant.

Now...Far as the length/depth of the Trinity design I don't see how that would hinder performance since the temps don't really get very high in that area. I am under the impression that the shortest & Straitest path for this type of setup is benaficial as well, which may be why they made their piece the way they did...???

Not getting alot of hits on this...Seems to be somewhat of a dead subject that may have been beaten to death way before I came along...??? haha...

I am possibly looking towards a Modified Snowmibile or Watercraft engine to find the power I want...

I'm currently fabricating a 2:1 similar to red's. That design is based on the old Graydon Proline 2:1 that is no longer made. Red cast his whereas I'm milling a couple stainless flanges for the intake and then using 1.5" stainless tubing welded into a 'Y' shape. I'll hopefully be building the jig today and if its easy enough to make one, I might just make a few for some of the guys on the HQ. I had read somewhere that the shorter the intake, the more low end you'll have. My setup should put the carb somewhere near the stock location but probably slightly shorter.

This thing seems to be way overpriced and......

The reason some atv parts are more expensive is because of the R&D costs :shrugani::rolleyes:B) thats what I was told.

You also have to remember that our kit comes with:

The carb

A billet 1 into 2 intake

throttle cable

Plus either the K&N attachment or another billet airbox filter adapter

Plus a few gaskets and hardware

It does start to add up once you start factoring in the cost of the billet pieces, K&N filter, and other assorted pieces.

The billet intake in particular costs us quite a bit to fabricate.

Lemme just say... I wasnt' referring to trinitys intake system. Iv owned thier billet manifold and it is a really nice well cut peice of billet. I was referring to an old thread about A-arms\bent 4130 chromoly tubing.

I guess some people just dont understand how a business survives.

Sorry to get off subject but maybe you (Meat) should go out and price high quality heims, and spherical ends and compare them to cheap automotive replacement ball joints. I also didnt say that R&D costs make up ALL of companys profit on any given product...

Ugh~
