Cannon Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Polished pegs, kick starter, shift & foot brake lever. They came out great, look like chrome...for now. I'm afraid they won't stay that way long. Is there something someone has tried on them like wax or thin film of WD40 that would keep them from rusting and looking bad? Quote

Clear coating a part that you don't make contact with works good(IE stock polished axle). Quote
Cannon Posted November 23, 2004 Author Report Posted November 23, 2004 Your right. All of the parts I did will have contact. They should be chromed if thats the way I want them to stay looking. That's what I had planned to do from the start anyway. Thanks for your reply. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 (edited) I've been wondering the same damn thing myself...I have some polished stuff on mine that my boots always tend to scuff up Only thing that works for me is after a couple rides, I just slap a small amount of polish on them again and they shine right back up.... Mother's Billet polish works awesome... Edited November 23, 2004 by bigboybanshee Quote
RNBRAD Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Here's something you guys may want to try. I haven't tried it, though I need to. The price just seems high but man I get tired of all the polishing I have to do. Zoop Billet aluminum sealer Quote

I'd love to try it out, but like you said.... pricey! Quote
racer Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 for that price it should do the polishing for me. Quote
SANDSTAR Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Zoops works. You will get enough to cover every polished part on about 5 Banshees. The time you will save in polishing dull parts is more than worth the cost. Quote
