bansheecaptain Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 hey i've been looking at getting some new pipes and i saw the add that this site had on the rocket pipes and i thought i would ask if i should go with those or fmf again , oh i ride once or twice at the dumes and i do alot of trial and open road riding so if i can get some info on witch is the best pipe that would be cool....thanks guys Quote
Ultimateduner Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 (edited) For that kind of riding I would recommend good all-around pipes like the Fmf fattie or the Tooney T5. What's your budget? Edited September 27, 2004 by Ultimateduner Quote

FIRST BANSHEE Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 I have t-6's, They have way more power down low compared to my old fmf's. my head is milled 30, v-force reeds, 4-degrees timing, trinty cv intake 38mm carb.power comes on hard and low but also pulls higher than the fmf's. no problems in the trails. I heard the fatties rev 1000rpms more than the t-6's, and they sign out later on the dyno charts. they also have more torque, and have more power than the t6's. Quote
sredish Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 the old school fmfs were more of a top end pipe than a mid/all around like the fatties, and the fatties do rev higher than the t-6s when viewed on a dyno sheet. sometimes the dyno sheet and the seat of the pants don't jive, but that's how it shows on a sheet. a lot have said they like they're t-6s, but they don't look like a performer on a sheet as well. fatties are a great overall pipe, if you a person wants something a little higher than the fatties, i'd say go with t5s. Pro Circuits are also supposed to be really good pipes and they're just a tad higher than the Fatties if I remember correctly. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 When I switched from the old fmf's to the t-6's, My holeshot improved, I was faster out of the corners, and I have more top end. I'm thicking about gearing up to a 15 tooth front. I love my t-6's. Quote
bansheecaptain Posted October 4, 2004 Author Report Posted October 4, 2004 well sometime i want to get a cheetah motor so i think i'll go with t5s Quote
