sandgrencivic2k1 Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 I have a 350 right now, bored .020 over. I just had a dune port done to it, my question is can I still get a big bore kit with my ported cylinders or do i need to start with fresh cylinders? Any advice would help. I am a dune rider, so is the big bore and porting the way to go? I want reliability but lots of power. So what would be the best set up that won't cost an absolute fortune? Thanks. look in my sig. for my upgrades. Quote
duner Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 yea,you can still do it.You just have to match up the ports after the big sleeve is installed.I done this mod to a set of ported cylinders a few months back, but I did'nt bore out to the 404.With this setup I think tou have only 2 overbores so I took them out to .040,so I have plenty of overbores left on the thick sleeves. The sleeves are some thick basterds which makes the port matching a lot more work. blaster105 Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 (edited) i got my sleeves installed and u have to open the ports up before u install the sleeves b/c it is very har to match them once installed. I say stay with the setup u have if it is already reliable. i am still tinkering with my carb sect to get mine runinng correctly. but once i got eveything done it hauls ass Edited September 7, 2004 by blaster105 Quote
