Screamin_Demon Posted August 10, 2004 Author Report Posted August 10, 2004 what about the guy who dislocated his shoulder twice and took 2nd in the step up Funny, I never knew a shoulder impaired someone's vision, which is ultimately the only thing that allows someone to not only clear a jump safely, but also pull off a stunt/trick as well. My apologies for not mentioning Matt Buyten "dislocation boy". I didn't realize a shoulder was such a vital part in landing a jump. No disrespect towards Buyten. He's got a high threshold for pain and has determination. But a dislocated shoulder doesn't compare to a injured wrist, injured foot, concusion, and being damn near blind in one eye because it's swollen. Check out some of the tricks in the freestyle competitions... there's one called a "no-hand landing". Cover one eye, then try to jump from a chair to another. Do the same with one arm behind your back. A bit easier if you ask me. Quote
iceman Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Deegan had pins all in his body. That would suck. I am so glad I haven't gotten seriously hurt on Quads. I do some of the stupidest shit and I still haven't gotten hurt. I'm still young though, there'll probably be many times I break something. Quote
