rebelbanshee2 Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 i was just noticing there was wasnt any rubber boots on my rear caliper this weekend too...i also noticed that yamaha doesnt sell them...so im just going to use the caliper until it doesnt work anymore Quote
MotulMonsta Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 I rebuilt my brakes a year ago..had to order off of a honda atv. Same damn brakes but honda carries the parts. You can get everything from the piston, to the piston seal, the parking brake asy, the rubber boots, the guide pins..try to get that from yamaha and your shit out of luck...just have to remember which atv it was...it was a 1986 something..I think 200x or 250x...might have been a three wheeler.. MotulMonsta Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 I'm the fuckin man!! Check this link out http://216.37.204.205/Honda_OEM/HondaATV.a...pe=13&A=19&B=33 It's the 300ex from honda same brakes as a banshee. Quote
sredish Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Unfortunately, the link won't take you straight there, you have to go through the year & model section every time. I just chose any 300ex and then went to rear caliper. Pretty shitty, banshee having the same rear brakes as the 300ex. Quote

If I'm not mistaken my brother in laws Susucki LT250 and 230 use the same brakes.....not too sure as I haven't seen his bikes in over 2 years. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Looks like the 87 suzuki 250 runs the same setup as well. Quote

I tried to find ANYTHING that would go in, but I doubt you'll find something that will stay. That little rib pops into that groove and holds it in.....I dunno..If you come up with something let me know. Quote

2004LEBanshee Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Ya, but I bet you've replaced a part on your shee that was fine for one that was blingin. But heres a situation where your brakes aren't working 100% and you want to rig it. I love it!! I'm the same way. Quote
