Hey Guys,- I am having a problem and tried solving it myself but not sure what else to do. Recently (3 weeks ago) rebuilt top end. I am having a helllll of a time hitting getting the powerband now. Seems a little boggey than before. But to even get the powerband I have to hold the throttle and half for 5-10 seconds and wait for it to kick in. A hell of a lot different than before. Need some help. Not sure if jetting is right either, maybe problem. I have the trinity 2-1 intake with 172 main, 48 pilot and 3 notch on needle. Trininty told me to change my plugs from BR9ES to 8ES and that might help to. Please let me know what you guys think

Changing the needle clip position only takes a couple minutes with the Trinity setup. Try raising the needle one clip and see what happens. If that doesn't help, lower it back down one notch lower than it was.

What all did you do when you did the top end? Pistons and rings, port, deck head, etc.? Have you checked the compression?

If your not running a BR8ES, then definitely go back to the BR8's, there is no reason to be running a colder plug and that cold be affecting your performance. A colder plug will have the effect of running a little richer, because it's not getting hot enough to burn the way it should. After you change back, try running it and see how shee does, if the problem is the same, below is my thoughts on what to do next.

Thanks guys, Yeah I will put BR8s in it and see what it does next. And let you guys know. ANd yes to answer your question and WOT it does get boggy especialy in 6th gear it doesn't want to do anything so I half to back it down to half throttle. Well I will take what you said and apply it as best as I can and let you know

You are rich for sure, thats what mine was doing when i was messing with my jetting.A quick way to see if that is it,take off your airbox lid to see if it runs better.Thats what got me going in the right direction.
