Got the tires last friday - Dunlop Radial Mud Rover 33x12.5R15 - and the wheels came yesterday - 15x10 American Racing Wheels - Body lift I picked up last week Monday from a local offroad shop...Got some 2" blocks for the rear also and am going to raise the torsion bars 1". Found out I have quite the gas leak and need all my lines replaced so I'm not able to torch off the bolts for the body lift just yet. Any suggestions on what I could do to get them out that DOESN'T involve grinding or torching? Keep in mind they don't turn out.

Why don't they turn out? What kind of truck? I did my Explorer and just sprayed all the bolts with PB Blaster everyday for a week. They all came out fine with a small electric impact gun.

Damn, sorry to hear your having trouble with the bolts, I was afraid you might. You could try some PB Blaster, or an air hammer to break the heads off. Try an impact, that's what i used. Good luck.

Well you see, they don't come out cause the kit is going on an 89 K1500. I've been trying with an electric impact gun but its easier turning them with a breaker bar than it is with that thing. I thought about trying some PB Blaster...Spose it couldn't hurt. How much is a can and where can I pick some up?

Yep, use the PB. I got mine at Schucks/Cragar for about $3. I sprayed my 94 Explorer everyday for a week. Before I started I couldn't budge those things even with the 24" breaker bar. After they were sprayed the electric impact took them out like they were in butter. Two of my bolts were in such a tight spot I had to use a regular socket and 10" ratchet. I thought they would never come out but after a week of spraying they were no problem. That stuff is great at loosening things up if you give it some time.

I'd spray your bumper bolts now to if you will be raising them up with the body.

I have never had a truck that I couldn't get the body bolts out. Keep in mind, that if you knock the heads off, via hot wrench or air chisel, or whatever, the stud will still be in the body. Can't get another bolt in, untill you get the old one out. You need a good impact, (I only use Craftsman professional impacts, they are the best in the biz IMHO, except a wickedly expensive IR thunder gun) and the rest is history. I would get that fuel leak fixed ASAP. No need to burn up shit..... Or leak your expensive fuel away..... Fuel lines ain't that bad, especially being you only have throttle body injection... It's not high pressure..... You should be able to get them bolts out. if they turn, they will come out.... Do NOT break them off in the body. It is a NIGHTMARE to get them out.......

I agree with Boonman don't break or cut your bolts. When I rebuilt my truck I couldn't budge the bolts with a breaker bar and two people on it ended up breaking the Torx socket twice. Went to Sears bought a good Craftsman impact and had them all out in under 10 minutes.

Well you see....I don't have $200 to go to Sears and get a nice Craftsman impact wrench...wish I did. Fact is I don't. And I doubt I know anybody with one. So I need alternative options to this dilemma.
