5th Gear Got Jammed?

When riding yesterday I was hammerin through the gears pretty hard, got into 5th and went for 6th and she was stuck in gear. Shut her down and tried to shift clutching it and rolling back and forth, didn't work. Started back up and had to get her rolling in 5th gear, got it up to speed and it shifted for me. When it got stuck the shifter was down, it seemed like it was down as far as it could go. Something broken or what guys? Help me out here.

The pawls on your shift shaft are worn or out of adjustment. Open it up and check it out. I'll bet just a new shift shaft will take care of the problem.
