I was out at Silver Lake Dunes three weeks ago for my first time and had a great time. Ok enough about that, but it was there when I felt my Shee skipping like the chain was waaayyy loose. I checked the chain and it was fine and am now thinking I might have transmission issues. Before I take the engine apart, does anyone have any ideas, forks, drum, worn gears, bent shift shaft?????

Any help would be apreciated.

My guese is that a gear is missing a few teeth. I lost 5 to 10 teeth and it sounded that way when it ran, then it jammed up and wouldn't even turn over in neutral.

Check your rear sprocket. The teeth may be bent forward. If your axle isn't aligned straight or your chain was loose, that can happen.

thats what i think. doesnt take much for you to jump teeth. if its poppin real fast like its gotta be jumping teeth. check your rear sprocket and see if its all worn. if so get a new one. its worth a try before having to split the cases all open.

Don't forget about the front sprocket. The front is more likely to skip than the rear.... :o Also, sand kind of sounds and funny when you take off with paddles. (kind of like the chain is skipping)
