BansheeBrian Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 piss me off something fierce! I bought a wiring harness for an 01 for my 02 shee and the frickin jacks are different on the CDI and for the light swich.Whats Yamaha trying to accomplish? Why did they change the damn plugs! This really burns my ass.I'm so close to riding and this bullsh*t had to happen. I should have peeped the back of my clymers manual before i started ordering harnesses!A little thing like wiring is keeping me from hillclimb competitions. I'm having trouble tracing wires with the diagram because i get pissed quick! It is my own fault i played barber shop with my wiring trying to eliminate the lighting and TORS.I'm kicking myself in the ass so hard I'm losing teeth! ----O.K I think I'm done now.thanks. Quote
BansheeBrian Posted May 1, 2004 Author Report Posted May 1, 2004 Problem solved in 45minutes I just took the time to go over the whole thing.I pulled all the TORS wiring and wiring for the lights.I gave it the simplest wiring it could handle and it did the trick.Panic over. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 beatiful, glad to hear it worked out, im to dumb for those high class wiring routes Quote
Kg8 Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 hey tried 2 get a wiring harness 4 my warrior and yamaha said they dont make them for a 98' model. so had 2 go and redoo it the hard way Quote
BansheeBrian Posted May 3, 2004 Author Report Posted May 3, 2004 Sheeeet.I'm a banshee wiring expert professional now! I memorized every wire on the thing. This is great so if any riding buds need a hand in electrical i know my shit. It's been awhile but I was a generator repairer and a welder in the Connecticut Army national Guard for 6 years and I have solved alot harder wiring issues than what the shee offers. Can warrior wiring be a pain,kg8?My friend has one. Quote
Adamshee Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 yeah i did that a long time ago. I took the extra step and drilled holes in my frame and ran the wires through the frame rails. looks pretty clean, theres only like 5 wires total (no lights or anything) Quote
John19 Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 My friend bought a brand new warrior in '98 and the damn thing caught on fire (at the brain) he had all kinds of problems with the warrior, sold it in '99 and got his banshee. Quote
