Well I did it. My Passion 12port stroker is done. Shearer pipes are in the Box and My new clutch basket is in the mail. All i need is a set of TMX 35mm Mikunis to top it off. What holiday is Next Fathers day sound like a good one . Any ways When it gets here i will install the 4 mill long rod crank and Cyclinder. Damm my shees been torn apart since Nov . Man i can't wait to rip on it.

My plan is to gear it 14/41 to see if it can pull 4th gear up Choke Cherry If so i be a Happy SOB

Man dont put a 14/41 gearing it, thats way to low. I am pulling 3rd and fourth gear wheelies with 15/39 gearing. Play with it a little but you will NOT be happy with that low of gearing.

Man, Deep Sand, 600 Feet High, 38 degree angle Is one Big Ass Dune. I wouldn't pull a 15 tooth front sprocket it unless it way over 100 horsepower.

I could only pull 3rd gear hard before and I was making about 60 horsepower before and that was with a 3.23 to 1 Ratio. (13/42) so I am gearing up allot from before. ChokeCherry is Extreme this is why I will start with Stock. Most people that run this hill with only a piped shee can make it up it in 2nd gear.

Hot running Shee can pull 4th gear with 14/43 so if I am little better than that stock should gain me some more top speed and Still have the power to pull this Hill.

If I was out in the Open Desert I would run tall gears, but not On ChokeCherry in St Anthony Id, You need to see this Hill.

Hey oil, dont mean to get off topic, nice bike by the way, but where is cherry choke hil? Dumont right. If so, where is it? Is it what they call comp hill there, or is it right behind the main hill?

Sounds like that'll be a fun bike! I was running 16/41 in my shee and went to 14/42 and it is much more fun to ride. We don't get over 70mph often so I didn't need the 16t front, I'd rather launch it in 2nd gear and not have to shift all the time.

I rode choke cherry last summer, man that is one big hill! My 350R was running like garbage because I didn't take the time to jet it for that elevation and it was a 98 degree day, but I think I pulled 3rd up to the top (had to shift down once, started to lug 4th). I'd stick with 14/41 like you said and see how hard it pulls.

I couldnt' get over how soft the sand there is, I was even having trouble hooking up good with the taller haulers!

Oilsmoke, You like the dunes at st anthonys better than Jerico? How long of a drive is it from Tremonton?

If you like racing the Sand mountian Jerico Great, If you like the Backside for general duneing Than St Anthony The place, Bigger General size dune for Playing around. Sand Mountian Longer But i think Choke CHerry is Steeper. I Like St Anthony Better.

From my house 195 to St Anthony & 220 to Jerico Apox so pretty much the same but the other way for you.

You got to let me know when you're heading out there. I pulled Choke Cherry with 14/41 gearing in FIRST when it was nearly all stock. After I put pipes on it...I don't really remember. All I remember is getting stuck at nearly the top on that bastard and having to turn around.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if you can do it with that stroker. I can't wait until its my turn.

I bet you would do well at the face of Sand Mountain definitely. Its not as steep from what I remember of Choke. Choke is one steep summmbitch. I saw a guy in a Mazda 3B rotary powered long travel jumping up it, and down it on Memorial one year. It was insane.
