I just chked my stator and the reading went something like this: 87" shee

Yellow-to-Black .2-.4

White/Red-to-White/Green 115

Green-to-Red ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Is it decoration now or what???

Btw, thx for all the help you guys or ladies have given me.

Any info. on this topic would be great.

Sounds like the stator is shot, red to green is the ignition part of the stator, it should be 13.7-20.5 Ohms. I would recommend a Ricky Stator, stock ones all tend to fail eventually...

Exactly what BenBB said... ;)

On that note, I just got a stock wattage stator from RS on an adjustable plate. Had to do some filing on it to get it to fit, but no biggie...advanced the timing 4 degree's & shee is running good. Install was a synch, just don't forget to adjust your pickup coil! :P

I wouldn't go with an OEM stator, I tried one before the RS stator & it lasted only about 20hrs, and cost about $160 more than the RS on an adjustable plate. Just MHO. ;)
