TTBanshee34 Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 I was just wondering if anyone had a no link set up and if it works alot better than stock.I race flat track and tt and have been thinking of changing to one.Thanx for the help!! Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 i think it is to loose weight for drag racing and I am not sure about how the shock works after that. Quote
Aussie Quad Racer Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 works fine for flat track and tt. the reason for the link is to give a progressive rate which is handy over rough terrain. I use a direct swingarm setup for flat track Quote
TTBanshee34 Posted February 3, 2004 Author Report Posted February 3, 2004 so do you just run a longer shock to hook up to swing arm? Quote
Aussie Quad Racer Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Depends on how high you want the back of the bike to sit. Its a bit of trial and error. The shock i have lowers the bike considerably and is out of a road bike but i am unsure which bike. Quote
Proquad101 Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 I have the no-link swingarm and I like it better than the stock link set-up. I use the afco rear shock. I have 2 no-link swingarms one is -2" and the other is -4". The thing you will need to do is move your upper shock mount, the further away from the swingarm pivot bolt the better performance you get from your shock. After I did mine I could tell a big difference my bike would hook-up better on dry-slick tracks. Quote
TTBanshee34 Posted February 4, 2004 Author Report Posted February 4, 2004 I have a -2 inch swing arm now. Most of the tracks around minnesota get dry slick so ya I need max traction LOL. where can I get one Quote
