So I bought this banshee from a friend, needed a new top end

so I put a new top end, reeds, intake boots, rebuilt carbs, Cdi box, spark plugs

it has spark, it’s getting fuel, the tors is already deleted , I already ohmd out the stator, the key is already bypassed

It sounds like it wants to fire occasionally but never will

is there something I’m missing

Oem cylinders .40 over

Oem carbs 30 pilot, 300 main at 150 ft elevation  1 1/2 turns out on air/ fuel screw,

oem Cdi and also have a brand new Vito’s Cdi

carb bowl with starter jet is on the left carb with chock nob, cross over tube is on  nothing in the pipes, checked ground

finally got it to run for a few seconds with starting fluid and would rev out  but quickly died out

I was thinking to go make a leak down tester?

  • 2 weeks later...

Reeds are brand new  vforce 4

bills expansion chambers

fmf turbine core 2

no port

vitos superstock pistons

so I just made some progress  the original Cdi is bad   I had checked spark again for prob the 50th time and realized that it wasn’t producing enough so I thru on the Vito’s cdi and plenty enough spark

bike started.     Now I just need to figure out the correct jetting

i believe I just had was jumbling to many problems that made it all clustered   Between bad cdi ,air leak at the base gasket , and the fact that I have just bought this and haven’t actually had it run smoothly for me to start a base line with
