I think it's a great idea to get an HQ team together.

I'd love to do help out, but not much chance.

The major mods for the bike arent for more performance instead of reliability, like strengh treatment for the transmission, nicasil or something to make it less drag on parts and some gears of the RZ to make it ride faster than the banshees ratio, lots of lbs. from gusseting the frame and big skids to protect the belly of the quad

Before the banshees dominate that race I have lots of old mags that made tests of banshees for the baja, they had 13.5" front suspension travel !! and were very tall (before the ZPS thing)

I've spent hours poring over those pics Meat, that RZ Banshee is tits.

 

Baja 500/1000 is on my short list of races I want to hit someday, along with Pike's Peak and some National TT's. I used to live in Parker, AZ where they run the Parker 400, not sure if SCORE still does it but I always wanted to check it out...

 

I'd be all over an HQ Baja effort. I'm sure ridingorhiding, ABM-Banshee and the rest of Wide Open Racing would be willing to pitch in too. Hell with my Patriot RZ motor/tranny, ridingorhiding's long travel Elkas all the way around, Meat's monster fuel tank and Jason's insane riding ability, it would be a hell of a good time just being on the pit crew, and swappin' riders and/or machines along the way would be a blast. Let's go to Mexico!!!

come on were did the fire go you guys just stoped talking about it. i think that is the best idea sence the banshee i think with all these people on this site we could come up with two bikes. If its the only thing i do in my life time then ill die a happy man. i dream about racing in the baja 1000 (oh and doing a backflip on a banshee) but i cant alone do it my self. so what do you guys say.............lets get a team together.
