jlaits Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Anyone have fitment issue's after powdercoating? I went to install the rear end and the holes and mounting spots seem to tight to fit parts. I've been slowly filing the powdercoat in those spots to get parts to slide in. Quote
Sandking Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Unless you baked the old paint/powder off you'll have a tight fit. You may have to file a little of the powder off to make parts fit. 1 Quote
BANSHEE CHAOS Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Run a tap into all threaded holes too. Unless they plugged them before the powder. Sent from a raggity ass stolen ifone 1 Quote
RagunCajun Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Yes I did big time. I had to use my dremel and wire wheel and fine sand paper. For threads, I bought a metric tap set to chase any threads on bolts and nuts that had any issues. It wasnt hard to do. Just tedious. Quote

locogato11283 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Cut it off and move the bracket over. Quote
JTmachining Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Deburr the PC and I use a M10 reamer in the M10 holes Quote
Scrubby Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 Powder is kinda thick, usually not as thick as chrome, but some HD powders get thick. its part of the game. Quote
