ImSoBoard1 Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 I'm getting a timing plate installed. How much do you think a shop will charge to purchase and install one? I will also have it rejetted. Quote
Bennett131 Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Don't pay a shop to do that... it is such an easy task. Curious what they charge you. Quote
ClaudeMachining Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 There is lots of video about the timing plate on yt. Quote
oldskool Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Order you a mattoon, very easy to install if you have a flywheel puller. Must have the puller! Quote

BANSHEE HP Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Figure most shop rate are $75 per hour, so at least $75+ the $50 timing plate (if they don't charge $70 for it). Or for less than $20 you could buy a flywheel puller, $50 timing plate and be done in under a hour of your own time. Quote
ImSoBoard1 Posted July 27, 2015 Author Report Posted July 27, 2015 fyi I've never played with carbs or tuned anything to extensively so more than likely i might be referring to the wrong part. Quote
Dunatic619 Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Google the part and make sure it's the same part you're referring to. Once you're sure about the part, post pics on here and they'll walk you through it. Quote
