Gemeiner Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 I just Got a new Fox 2.0 podium rc2 but when I was installing it I noticed the eyelets might be a bit narrow and they leave some space between the mounts. Maybe 1/8"-1/4" of play. Is there an adapter or maybe a reducer kit that I need? Or do you think I'd be ok with some washers in there? Quote
hp2000 Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 I don't see why they should come with such a big gap. Did you check the packaging for different spacers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Gemeiner Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Ya it's kinda weird. The box is labeled with the proper serial number too. But the shock eyelets look different than the Fox site. My eyelet spacers are flush with the eyelets whereas the pictures spacers stick out a little. Maybe I just got the wrong one. Seems more likely than my previous idea. There's no other spacers in the box. Quote
Gemeiner Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 The box says it was inspected too Quote
Gemeiner Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Lot of play in there. The bottom spacers is sticking out about a quarter inch. That's how much room there is Quote
Gemeiner Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Might be kinda hard to see. I pushed the shock against the side to show the space. Otherwise there's an eighth inch on each side Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 I would call Fox or whoever you bought the shock from and tell them you need the correct spacers. I have two Fox Podium shocks and the spacers are wider than those. Quote
Gemeiner Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 I can interchange them right? They just kinda slip in Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 Yes, I suspect all the shock bodies themselves are the same and they just switch out the spacers for different bikes. Quote
Gemeiner Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Oh cool, thanks dude. Kinda sucks I can't just find kits for that. I'll talk to who I got it from. Fucking tired of waiting tho. Quote
Gemeiner Posted July 2, 2015 Author Report Posted July 2, 2015 Yup the new spacers fit perfectly. Took a lot of coaxing to get Fox's help though, they insisted that the shock was right for stock banshees. He told me I messed with the mounts on the frame or something. I sent him pics and he finally said he'd look into it, and then they finally sent me the right spacers. Quote
