Banshee hose locations?

I have a 1997 yamaha banshee and I bought this shee as a project and I'm just finishing up but I have no idea where the hoses from the coolant overflow container go I heard there is some t joint or y joint that I'm supposed to have but can I bypass that? Can someone help me

The tee is for the case vents not coolant.

Lower outlet on the overflow tank goes to the radiator neck

Upper outlet hose goes up the steering stem and down to nowhere (atmosphere)

So do I necessarily need that or is that in the engine?

The "t"

one vent hose runs from under the rear motor mount, the other from the water pump cover, they Tee above the engine and then run up the steering stem and down a little to the atmosphere.
