BdBanshee Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Yes you should advance the timing, and yes it will help throttle response. Quote
bansheelover Posted November 26, 2003 Author Report Posted November 26, 2003 how much will it affect the power output? will i notice it? could that be why it is bogging sometimes in low revs?? Thanks for the info guys greatly appreciated Matt Quote
wesw Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 most people use +4 and +7 is for drag bdbanshee can make you a plate and a lightened flywheel. you wont be disappointed. Quote
Nighty Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 My rickystator stator and plate (adjustable) came in last week. I am not sure how to check the timing. Sure there are numbers on the plate but i dont know what to look at. Should there be an arrow on my crankcase cover? I think i advanced my timing 5 degrees and YES my trottle response is awesome. no more bogging just right into the TOOMEY REVS! Any pics/idea's of what to look at? To make sure or check what the timing advantage is set at? Quote
Klotz Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 hey matt...for what you have go with the same one i have.....+4. see yeha shane Quote

Line up the marks on the plate (at the amount u want) with the seam, and your all set! Quote
Oilsmoke Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 No but you'll need a flywheel puller. Quote
